My house mate is completing her dissertation...and as a result she's taken over the house! Apparently her creative juices flow much better in the kitchen. I agre
e with her, but that does mean there are no juices flowing from my moulinex this week - too noisy. So I'm looking elsewhere for my 5+ a day, and I came across GRAZE. The brain child of the LoveFilm.com crew. It's tagline is nature delivered, and having received my free trial box this w/e, I would in most cases agree. There was fresh cut pineapple, roasted pistachios and dried cranberries...at least 2 of my 5+ a day. However, the freshness of the pineapple was in question when the delivery was promised on Friday, but did not infact arrive until Saturday. Postal Strike hold back? Possibly. However, I couldn't fault anything else. Great packaging, great tasting cranberries and pistachios, good portion sizes and good nutritional information. I'm impressed. A guilt free treat to get this through your letterbox. Or is it? If it wasn't for busy as a bee housemate I would feel guilty in being so lazy not to prepare my own cut pineapple chunks, and pots of dried cranberries and pistachio nuts.Find out for yourself:http://www.graze.com/Use the promo code CVX54QWB and get your first box for £1.
The beginning of Nutrition in the Kitchen is underway. I'm contacting the Council, the Inland Revenue. I'm gathering quotes for my website and promotional material. I'm sampling new recipes in the kitchen (I've come across some amazing new cookbooks - expect reviews to follow shortly). I'm updating the premises - one beautiful new cooker installed, and one ferocious new fridge to arrive next week. The only area I'm struggling to find time to attack is my protocols. Relevant to the health conditions I want to cover; these protocols require research around the condition, scripting the demo and writing the material, exploring the recipes to support the condition, testing and tasting the results. So a relatively big investment of time...and money, but nevertheless a rewarding one. Perhaps I'll do a Weightloss one this w/e. Think that's going to be my hottest topic. Detox, Sports Nutrition and Gluten Free to follow....watch this space.
